Today I wanted to remind you that our Father in Heaven is good. He was good yesterday, He is good today and He will be good tomorrow. He loves you so much. Father is for you and not against you. No matter what you are facing today, you are loved, cherished and adored by Father. He is not only your Father, but your Friend. He is with you right now with whatever you are facing.

What are you going through right now? Maybe you feel hopeless, insecure or afraid. Maybe you are grieving or in physical pain and you are having trouble just getting out of bed in the morning. My friend, God is with you even as you struggle to make it through the day. You are not alone. You are abundantly loved and He cares very deeply for you.

All you have to do today is call to Him (Jeremiah 33:3). He is there waiting—longing—to hear your voice. Release your heart to Father, the Good Shepherd, and let Him heal you, set you free and restore your soul. For:

“Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely,
And long for heaven, heaven and home,
When, when Jesus is my portion,
My constant Friend is He;
Oh, His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches over me.”

I leave you with the Passion Translation of Psalm 23. Today, find a quiet place and meditate on these powerful words and let your heart be refreshed and restored in the Father’s love:

Psalm 23

The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd.

I always have more than enough.

He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love.

His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss

That’s where he restores and revives my life.

He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure

and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness

so that I can bring honor to his name.

Lord, even when your path takes me through

the valley of deepest darkness,

fear will never conquer me, for you already have!

You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way.

Your authority is my strength and my peace.

The comfort of your love takes away my fear.

I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.

You become my delicious feast

even when my enemies dare to fight.

You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit

you give me all I can drink of you until my heart overflows.

So why would I fear the future?

For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life.

Then afterward, when my life is through,

I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!
